Alfie is a cute, affectionate Jack Russell, and he was very lucky being rehomed by his now owners at the age of 12 years.

They are obviously very fond of him, and as a birthday present for his "dad", two portraits of Alfie were ordered.

For painting 1 in the Fine Art style, Susanne worked on surfaces, colours, background. Alfie's closed eyes on the photo were "opened", his tongue tip was highlighted.

Painting 2 is based on strong colours & contrasts in the Pop Art style.
Alfie's portraits were printed as giclee prints on canvas, being framed by the customer.

Cedric is a beautiful young lurcher, looking very similar to a Pharaoh Hound. His large ears, eyes and dark eyebrows are some of his main features.

His owners wanted a portrait in the Fine Art style. Living close to the coast, Cedric loves walking on the beach - hence the background variations.
Other more abstract drafts were rejected, and very soon, the painting to the far right became the favourite.

For Cedric's face, Susanne combined details from several photographs and emphasized his expressive eyes.His portrait was printed as a giclee print on canvas and stretched on frame.

Teddy is a beautiful young Tibetan Terrier, full of fun and energy.

The photos sent by the owner were very good quality, however Teddy's eyes didn't really show.

For Teddy's portrait in the Fine Art style, Susanne worked on the characteristic fluffy coat and the eyes to highlight Teddy's personality.

A cheerful background, coloured outlines and a painterly border were added to the work, and it was printed as a giclee print on canvas and finally stretched on frame.
